Job Title: Sybase DBA Location: Any location Total Experience Range: 3– 6 Years Job Description Technical Skills:- • Strong knowledge in Sybase ASE architecture concepts • Working knowledge of Installation, configuration, upgrades & EBF patching • Should have experience in production database support • Backup and recovery methods including point in time recovery • Knowledge on backup, JS Agent, Cron-Jobs • Experience on performance tuning and troubleshooting, memory management & analysis of issues • Knowledge of dbcc (consistency checks), Reorg, EWA report analysis • Ability to troubleshoot Sybase faults / errors • Knowledge of Sybase Replication server, Sybase IQ • Experience on maintenance activities like reorg, update statistics etc. • Memory management: ASE DB memory configuration, TEMP DB memory full issues, Log Segment and Default segment extensions, • User management : Creating roles, users, priviliges, password management • Knowledge of ASE 15.x and ASE 16 • Troubleshooting knowledge on deadlocks, blockage, Cache issues, R3Trans issues, log segment issues • Basic knowledge on Linux environmen
