Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage teams of Data Engineers in the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade data processing pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. * Architect and oversee the successful migration of complex ETL pipelines and data warehouses to GCP, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal performance. * Collaborate extensively with Data Engineers, Technology leadership, and Business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into scalable and efficient data architectures. * Champion GCP best practices for data engineering, promoting innovation, efficiency, security, and cost-effectiveness across all projects. * Apply deep hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform services, particularly BigQuery, Dataform, and Dataplex, to solve intricate data challenges. * Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the data engineering team, fostering their growth and ensuring project success. * Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, influencing decision-making at all levels. * Demonstrate versatility and apply your extensive knowledge of GCP to other cloud environments as business needs dictate. Requirements: * Overall, 12 to 15 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud platforms. * 3-4 years of experience specifically leading Data Engineer teams responsible for developing enterprise-grade data processing pipelines on Google Cloud. * Proven track record of leading at least one project of medium to high complexity involving the migration of ETL pipelines and data warehouses to the cloud. * 3-5 years of the latest experience working with premium consulting companies. * In-depth hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform services, especially BigQuery, Dataform, and Dataplex. * Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to converse equally well with Data Engineers, Technology leadership, and Business leadership. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset. * Ability to leverage knowledge on GCP to other cloud environments.
