Join us in the role of Business Consultant - CSDM/CMDB! What will you do? We have built up a competency that focuses solely on the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM). Within the IT industry / IT4IT reference architecture, this is also referred to as Service Model (backbone). As CSDM is the foundation for the ServiceNow platform we foresee a continuous growth of CSDM related activities. Plat4mation is looking to grow the CSDM/CMDB competency and is looking for both functional and technical consultants in this area. That’s why we are looking for a Business Consultant - CSDM/CMDB who can guide customers in their CSDM journey and implement the model according to our best practices. Scope of work: As a Business Consultant - CSDM/CMDB you start with creating an overview of the current situation of a customer, by mapping their current IT and Business situation. Together with the customer you implement or optimize the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to get a clear overview of the IT-infrastructure and combine this with Service Mapping to make all ServiceNow applications of a customer Service-aware. To make sure that the CMDB of a company is used optimal in terms of business strategy and technical side, you use the CSDM as a framework. To make this successful, you use your expertise on IT to convince them, but also to teach them how they can do this, and which timeframes are optimal. You are primary point of contact for the customer for any CSDM and/or CMDB related matters. You will be giving presentations and demonstrations of ServiceNow (by for example playing the CSDM Game we created) and discuss and analyze gaps between ServiceNow and the customer processes. This you translate in a tailored proposition to prospects based on in-depth research of specific business conditions and drivers. We define the CSDM and CMDB governance together with the customer and implement supporting workflows and dashboards to keep the data up to date. During the implementation we define, and model Services based on best practice taxonomies (e.g., TBM). After defining the services and the related ownership we define the relationships with underlying infrastructure. In case customer has licensed ITOM, we will leverage the ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping functionality to fill the CMDB. What we ask of you Fluent in English; Fluent in Dutch a big plus. Minimum 3 years of experience in IT and Business. (E.g., setting up/changing processes, delivering IT solutions and/or managing IT processes). Good conceptual understanding of the decomposition of IT landscapes (application, infrastructure, and network). Good understanding of ITIL and IT4IT. Knowledge of and experience designing and implementing Configuration Management capabilities. Knowledge of and experience with ServiceNow CMDB / ITOM (Discovery / Service Mapping). Experience with TBM or the definition of (Business) Services is a plus. As a Trusted Advisor you create and maintain effective customer relationships with all stakeholders and adjust your communication accordingly. You can make a fast analysis of different solutions and are able to relate these to the customer, whereby you examine, listen, qualify, and resolve concerns or obstacles in a logical fashion, emphasizing the solutions or services that will deliver maximum benefit.
