Accounting Manager - São Paulo

About Us: We are a rapidly growing micromobility company specializing in electric scooter rentals. Our mission is to make urban transportation more sustainable and accessible. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to lead and maintain accurate and compliant accounting processes within our organization. Position Overview: We are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee key accounting functions, ensure compliance with applicable standards, and support our growth. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing core accounting processes and controls, maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactions, leading reconciliations, preparing reports, and coordinating with external accountants. The candidate will collaborate with internal teams to uphold the integrity of our accounting systems, drive process improvements, and serve as the primary accounting contact. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger Ensure financial statements are accurate and compliant with GAAP and standards Perform monthly reconciliations to maintain record integrity Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring proper documentation for external reporting Oversee third-party accounting providers, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables Prepare documentation for audits to ensure regulatory compliance Work with operations to reconcile expenses, inventory, and revenue related to scooter rentals Maintain records of fixed assets and manage depreciation schedules Design and monitor internal controls to improve processes and efficiency Assist with tax compliance and filings according to local, state, and federal regulations Identify automation opportunities and process improvements within accounting Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CRC certification 5 years experience in accounting, with solid knowledge of GAAP or IFRS Experience managing accounting operations in fast-growing environments Experience working with external accounting providers Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation) Strong attention to detail, accuracy, compliance, and internal controls Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with problem-solving ability Ability to work independently and proactively improve processes Fluent in English, with strong communication skills Preferred Experience: Experience in transportation, mobility, rental, or subscription services Background in audit or advisory at Big Four firms Experience managing fixed assets and depreciation for fleet or equipment-heavy operations Handling high-volume transactions accurately under pressure Implementing and improving accounting processes and controls Collaborating across teams to align financial reporting with business needs Knowledge of Brazilian tax regulations and CPC standards, especially for assets and service revenues What We Offer: Competitive salary Career growth in a high-growth industry Collaborative and innovative environment Opportunity to contribute to sustainable urban transportation J-18808-Ljbffr
