Purchasing Supervisor

We are looking for a Purchasing Supervisor to join our team and oversee procurement activities ensuring accurate and timely processes. The role reports to the Director of Purchasing . About the Location: Conveniently located adjacent to Rome Termini Station and near the Colosseum, the Hyatt Regency Rome Central is a contemporary 5-star hotel with 238 rooms, offering premium business services and a renowned leisure rooftop experience. Main duties and responsibilities: Develop and implement purchasing strategies to source high-quality food, beverages, linens, equipment, and supplies at optimal costs. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with kitchen, housekeeping, and operations teams to maintain stock levels. Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries, ensuring quality and quantity meet purchase orders. Lift, move, and store goods and supplies, following safety guidelines. Maintain purchase records, supplier contracts, and pricing data. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health regulations, and company policies. Evaluate supplier performance and resolve issues related to order discrepancies or delays. Work closely with the accounting department to manage procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities. Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and loading/unloading goods, ensuring proper stock organization. Skills and requirements: Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or related fields. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Business Central is highly preferred.
