Environmental Health Safety Specialist, Latina Client: Recurrent Energy Location: Job Category: Other - EU work permit required: Yes Job Description: Department: QHSE Reporting to: Sr. Manager Global Health & Safety Operations Responsibilities Act as delegato della sicurezza on behalf of the employer for O&M business unit entities. Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; review, update, and communicate them regularly. Document, investigate accidents, and implement recommended improvements. Conduct safety inspections, report fire drills and alarms, manage risk assessments and lone working procedures, and ensure employee awareness. Support investigations on critical H&S issues and drive solutions. Engage engineering and procurement in supplier evaluation. Develop and maintain project and supplier H&S plans. Complete risk assessments and job hazard assessments supporting site activities. Ensure adequate H&S training and awareness for personnel. Prepare H&S trend statistical data for the organization. Review and audit contractor H&S programs for compliance. Assist project teams with technical responses to H&S issues for customers and subcontractors. Monitor and improve customer/owner satisfaction related to H&S. Develop a robust H&S program for O&M teams managing solar and battery storage plants. Document and manage processes through the Document Control system. Administer NCR reporting, ensuring prompt investigation and corrective actions. Support Lessons Learned initiatives. Lead technical responses and investigations on H&S issues, driving corrective actions. Interpret engineering drawings and diagrams to ensure standards. Lead and train internal audit programs and teams. Work Experience: 3-5 years of OHS experience in construction, industrial processing, or environmental remediation. College diploma or university degree in OHS or related field. Training in Environmental, Health & Safety per current legislation. Knowledge of lithium-ion batteries, high voltage electrical equipment, ARC flash, and construction safety preferred. CSP or CMIOSH designations are assets. Experience with work platforms and management systems. Practical knowledge of hoisting, rigging, ground disturbance, fall protection, excavation, heavy equipment, emergency response, electrical safety, and confined space. Understanding of European and national OHS legislative requirements and standards. Strong communication skills and ability to interpret client needs. Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma is an asset. Professional demeanor, detail-oriented, dependable, trustworthy. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint.
