Data Governance Engineer

Social network you want to login/join with: You will be responsible for scaling, automation, and optimizing HBX data governance policies and processes across the entire data lifecycle. This role is a key contributor to delivering and successfully executing the Data Governance Roadmap. You will be actively involved in creating the company's data quality foundations by developing and delivering technical solutions related to: Data Governance & Management policies as code Automatic Data Observability and Quality metrics implementation Effective Metadata Management & Data Catalogue Automation of Data Policies and Procedures Automation of Data Security processes and controls Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of Data Governance Office, this role will be responsible for: Designing and implementing automatic Data Governance policies and procedures, detecting bad practices, and preventing data quality issues across the data stack and lifecycle Designing and implementing automatic Data Management policies , procedures, and controls (policy as code) to prevent data misuse Designing and implementing automatic Data Quality controls , validation, metrics, and validation controls Designing and implementing automatic Data Observability alerts and workflows Collaborating with the Data Governance Enterprise Architect to design the optimal data architecture & infrastructure for governed, high-quality data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL, Python, and AWS technologies Building and deploying Data Governance tools to support Data Analysts and Data Scientists in developing innovative products Skills: Education: Master's Degree in BI & Data Analytics, Big Data Experience: Advanced Python knowledge and experience with databases for enterprise applications and ML Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases and query writing Data Security management (encryption, masking, GDPR, PCI, secrets, SSO, MFA) Experience in root cause analysis and process improvement Experience in Data systems automation and administration Strong analytical skills with structured and unstructured data Technical Skills: Cloud Data Warehouse Platforms management: Snowflake or similar Programming: SQL, Python, RestAPI Data Ingestion / ETL tools: Airflow, Snowpipe or similar Data Transformation tools: dbt or similar Data management & governance platforms: Collate/Open Metadata, Collibra, Infosphere, Montecarlo, Informatica Data Visualization: Tableau or similar Version control: Bitbucket, Gitlab, Github Documentation: Atlassian Confluence or similar Soft Skills: Project Management: Agile, Scrum, Kanban End-to-end process orientation Strategic Thinking Data literacy and fostering data-driven culture Day-to-day activities: Governance and management of HBX Data Platform Stack, including security and permissions Design and implement automated data governance policies and controls Implement detective controls and alerts across tools and processes Ensure data platform connectivity and governance via API Implement data security policies to comply with regulations and protect secrets Support full data lifecycle management in accordance with data retention policies J-18808-Ljbffr
