Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, responsible for organizing, promoting, and communicating the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games. Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities involved, over an area of 22,000 square km. The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee was established in 2019 to organize the Olympic and Paralympic Games in accordance with the Host City Contract signed by the IOC, Milano, Cortina, and CONI. Partners include the Italian Paralympic Committee, Lombardy and Veneto Regions, Trento and Bolzano/Bozen Autonomous Provinces, with support from the Italian Government. Position: The candidate will be part of the Corporate Safety and Health team, reporting to the HSE Director, performing and supporting health and safety tasks. Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing health and safety procedures aligned with standards and legal requirements. Conducting safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance. Providing health and safety training to staff and maintaining records. Handling incidents, investigating causes, and recommending improvements. Staying updated with latest regulations and best practices. Acting as liaison with external health and safety authorities as needed. Assisting in risk assessment and the implementation of preventive measures. Supervising actions following audits and near-miss analyses. Managing safety consultants. Collaborating on safety documentation with other corporate functions. Ensuring supplier and contractor compliance with HSE policies and verifying documentation. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have: 4-7 years' experience in safety roles, preferably in major events or industry consulting. Experience in construction and auditing is a plus. Knowledge of environmental laws, occupational safety standards, and ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001. Proficiency in Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint; certifications are a plus. The profile should also include: Proven experience as a safety manager. Deep understanding of health and safety regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work transversally across functions. Work location: Milan, with possible travel and relocation during the BUMP IN phase.
