Job Title: Senior IBM WebSphere Engineer ‍Job Type: Freelance / Employee Location: Brussels Belgium Work regime: Hybrid 2day/week Language: Fluent English , (French/Dutch is plus) Keywords: WebSphere, Liberty, IBM Cloud, Linux, Agile Role Overview This is a senior-level engineering position focused on managing and modernizing enterprise Java application infrastructure. The role involves maintaining a legacy IBM WebSphere ND environment while leading the transition to IBM Liberty on a private cloud platform. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Management: Oversee and support traditional WebSphere ND environments. Cloud Migration: Lead the migration to IBM Liberty in a private cloud setup. Technical Leadership: Guide a team of engineers and collaborate with architects, vendors, and service providers. Project Delivery: Ensure timely and quality delivery of infrastructure projects aligned with strategic roadmaps. Performance & Security: Monitor JVM performance, manage TLS/SSL configurations, and ensure compliance with security standards. Required Skills & Experience 10 years with IBM WebSphere (Traditional BASE and Liberty v20) Apache Tomcat, Java-based applications TLS/SSL, Red Hat Linux, scripting, networking JVM performance tuning Familiarity with Agile, ITIL, CI/CD, Disaster Recovery Tools: Terraform, Ansible Tower, Java, CaaS, ServiceNow (preferred).
