Job Title: Visual Basic Developer ‍Job Type: Contract/Freelance Location: Schaerbeek, Brussels, Belgium Work regime: Hybrid (1 Day Onsite in a Week) Keywords: VBA, Access, and SQL. What you will be doing VBA Access Developer. The developer will work in a small project team of about five people. As a developer, they will support the project team by translating business and functional requirements into the development of an Access application. The Limit Management project is part of a business program (ALC DO) aimed at creating a single digital master for our transmission network in Belgium. Project – “Limit Management” As we seek to understand the limits of our network capacity, we will use a new algorithm to calculate the actual power limits of our high-voltage connections. The project scope includes: ensuring data quality at the source, calculating accurate limits, and integrating these power limits into various platforms where they will be used by different business stakeholders. Primary Tasks and responsibilities: In this role, the service will: Report to the project manager of the Limit Management project. Be responsible for preparing the necessary software developments, the development itself, unit and acceptance testing, and providing necessary support upon delivery to the customer. Pay sufficient attention to data quality and understand the importance and impact of accurate power limits . Collaborate closely with colleagues in the project team, especially with the fellow developer. Be expected to quickly get up to speed, show the necessary critical thinking while being flexible and not questioning all previously developed components. Additional requirements: Strong analytical mind, results-oriented, works independently and in an organized manner, communicates well with colleagues. Eager to learn and enterprising. A team player who takes initiative. Adequate flexibility. Willingness to work in a technical environment is a must. Knowledge required of VBA, Access, and SQL. Able to communicate fluently in English and Dutch or French. Willing to be physically present at the office in Schaerbeek at least once a week.
