Buyer/Planner – Sheffield – Competitive salary Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be working exclusively with a dynamic precision engineering business in Sheffield who are looking for a Buyer/Planner to join their team for a 12 month contract. Benefits: 1pm finish every Friday! 25 days holiday bank holiday the option to buy an additional 5 days holiday Healthcare Death in service (4 x salary) Xmas shut down Pension Hours: 8am – 4pm (Monday – Thursday) and 8am-1pm (Friday) Required skills & experience: Previous experience in a technical environment - precision engineering, aerospace, automotive manufacturing etc MRP experience and strong Excel skills Strong communication skills Previous negotiation experience Key Duties: Plan and manage material requirements to meet production schedules, ensuring resource readiness and inventory optimisation Source materials in line with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards whilst utilising dual sourcing strategies Monitor supplier performance, address delivery issues and mitigate risks across the supply chain Maintain accurate planning data within the MRP system and report on key KPIs such as OTIF, lead times and inventory turns Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction through enhanced planning, supplier negotiation, and process optimisation If you would like to discuss this Buyer/Planner role in more detail, then do get in touch with Lewis at Elevation Recruitment Group now!
