Job Description
Part Time Language Teacher (Spanish, French and/or German) Primary Languages Network (PLN) empowers teachers and schools to deliver high-quality, primary-focused foreign language programmes. Since 2011 , our team of 20 trained MFL (Modern Foreign Language) specialists—drawn from both primary and secondary education—has been providing language teaching across the Northwest of England . We use our award-winning digital platform to deliver the PLN methodology and support schools with consistent, high-impact provision. Location: Warrington, Merseyside, and Greater Manchester Contract Type: Part-time, Fixed-term (September 2025 – July 2026) Working Hours: Afternoon sessions: minimum 2.5 hours Morning sessions: minimum 3 hours Full day: minimum 5.5 hours Pay: £24.00–£27.50 per hour (depending on role) Is This You? What We Offer Join a supportive team of over 20 language specialists Ongoing support through a team WhatsApp group, regular CPD, and in-school observations Employment with PLN (includes pension contribution and sick pay) Access to long term, medium term and weekly lesson planning/resources via our digital platform Opportunities to teach in one or more schools per week Person Specification Essential: A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or QTLS) Degree in French, Spanish, or German OR native-level fluency Minimum 1 year’s experience teaching or assisting children (KS1/KS2 preferred) Strong behaviour management skills Confidence in leading lessons for up to 30 primary-aged pupils with and without a Teaching Assistant Clear criminal record (Enhanced DBS – obtained by PLN) Two professional references Right to work in the UK Safeguarding training (provided by PLN) Preferred: Driving licence and access to a car Enhanced DBS on the Update Service For further information and an application pack please click "apply on our website"
