Job Description
Health & Safety Specialist (Fixed term contract) Join us as a Health & Safety Specialist (Fixed term contract) at Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 , the organization responsible for delivering the upcoming Winter Olympics and Paralympics in 2026. Be part of a historic event that involves 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, and over 2,300 municipalities across an area of 22,000 km². The candidate will support the Corporate Safety and Health functions, reporting directly to the HSE Director, and will be involved in various health, safety, and environmental activities. Main responsibilities include: Assist in risk identification and assessment in compliance with Italian HSE regulations (D.Lgs. 81/08). Coordinate training activities and health surveillance plans. Review HSE requirements within contractors’ contracts. Develop and monitor preventive and protective measures for workplace and environmental safety. Participate in safety audits and on-site inspections. Follow up on corrective actions from audits and near-miss analyses. Engage in safety-related projects and serve as a point of contact for the HSE team. Collaborate with safety management suppliers. Maintain communication with regulatory bodies and local authorities. Assist in preparing safety documentation in coordination with other functions. Organize internal safety training sessions. Monitor supplier compliance with HSE policies. Draft safety coordination documents (e.g., DUVRI) and manage interference risks. Verify contractor documentation per legislative requirements. Requirements: 1–3 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in projects, events, or consulting environments. Familiarity with construction site safety and audit processes is advantageous. Basic knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations, including ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001). Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, or related fields. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; certifications are a plus.
