Export Manager Temporary - Wine

STMTM - a Valtus Company is seeking an Export Director (Temporary) for a well-established Venetian family winery of medium-large size. This role is part of a commercial development project starting by May 2025, full-time, with an initial 12-month mission in a team. The company will consider expanding responsibilities and the role thereafter. The position involves developing and implementing the international commercial strategy, focusing on Germany, Benelux, Eastern Europe, and the United States. Position Objectives: Lead the company's international growth, consolidating and expanding brand presence in target markets. Develop and execute export strategies, focusing on Germany, Benelux, Eastern Europe, and the US. Expand the international sales network, identifying new distributors and strengthening existing relationships. Manage relationships with key clients, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty. Analyze international markets to adapt offerings to local regulations and consumer preferences. Represent the company at fairs and trade missions. Lead the export team, coordinating and developing team members professionally. Share reports and insights with ownership, ensuring transparency and strategic coherence. Collaborate with Production, Marketing, and Logistics departments to meet foreign demand and ensure product suitability for target markets. Candidate Requirements: Extensive experience (8-10 years) in the international wine sector in export and commercial roles, or significant experience in the food distribution sector. Active network of contacts in target markets (Germany, Benelux, USA, Eastern Europe). Leadership skills, mediation ability, and sensitivity to business dynamics. Willingness to travel extensively (40-50%). Degree in economics, marketing, or related fields; technical knowledge of wine and export regulations. Fluent knowledge of German and English. Growth Opportunities: Progression towards Global Commercial Director, including domestic market. Entry into the company’s management team, with a strategic role.
