Job Description

Job Description Serve as a project manager, responsible for identifying project parameters including customer requirements, stakeholders, critical path, timeline, and funding. Define, document, negotiate, monitor, measure, report, and review the level of quality IT services delivered to customers and perform corrective measures whenever appropriate. Perform as a technical expert, authority, and advisor regarding IT planning, procurement, delivery, and operational coordination of newly fielded technologies for long and short-range IT objectives and priorities. Review proposed projects for adequate analysis and justification, and proper consideration of supporting requirements. Ensure customers' system communications plans are fully compatible with overall communications and IT networking initiatives within the supported community. Requirements Conditions of Employment You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. A two-year trial/probationary period may be required. Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in DoD Instruction 1315.19. This position requires submission of a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) upon entry and annually thereafter. The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. The IT classification for this position is IT III. This position is designated as Non-critical sensitive, Tier 3. See "Additional Information / Qualifications" section for additional requirements and Conditions of Employment. Qualifications This position is designated "Mission Essential." In case of severe weather or other emergencies, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations. Who May Apply: US Citizens Basic Requirement for Information Technology Project Manager (Policy and Planning) The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, IT-related experience (paid or unpaid) and/or completion of specific training demonstrating each of the four competencies: 1) Attention to Detail: Demonstrating thoroughness and conscientiousness in work, including reviewing work for accuracy. 2) Customer Service: Working with clients to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve problems, and ensure satisfaction. 3) Oral Communication: Effectively conveying information, making presentations, and listening actively. 4) Problem Solving: Identifying problems, evaluating information, and making sound recommendations.
