General Manager

A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a General Manager to join a dynamic and fast-growing transport business in Stanwell. As General Manager, you will: Oversee day-to-day transport operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery across all contracts Lead and develop a large, multi-functional workforce Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement Develop and execute strategic business plans Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and industry regulations Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders and clients Collaborate closely with senior leadership to achieve business goals What We’re Looking For Strong leadership and people management experience Proven ability to think strategically and lead high-performing operational teams Financial and budget management experience Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills Deep understanding of transport-related compliance and safety requirements Strong interpersonal and communication skills Experience in the transport industry is highly desirable Transport Managers CPC (or willingness to obtain within 12 months) Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field Must be willing to work full-time, on-site in Stanwell Package Salary: £60,000 per annum £5,000 performance-based bonus Car Allowance: £350/month or company car Benefits: Laptop, mobile phone, 20 days holiday 8 bank holidays Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Location: Stanwell Interested or know someone who’d be a great fit?
