Buyer - FMCG £50k & £7k Car Allowance St. Albans I am currently recruiting for a Buyer to join an established convenience retailer based within their St Albans office function. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for delivering a commercially focused product range that meet both company and team targets, while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued growth in the categories Building & maintaining strong relationships with large FMCG suppliers Sourcing suppliers & negotiating best cost prices Analysing sales figures to plan successful future lines Ensuring selected product lines achieve availability timeframes Monitoring & reviewing competitor information to ensure your product area stays relevant in a changing market Forecasting and stock control Presenting reports, figures & trend information to the Senior Management team Analyse market trends and competitor activity Key requirements for the role; Proven experience as Buyer within a fast paced, FMCG environment preferably Food Ability to influence and negotiate effectively Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing FMCG market. Good level of education, degree is preferable Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels Good working knowledge of budgets and managing conflicting projects Excellent understanding of all MS Office products including advanced Excel If you think you have the right experience and are looking for a new opportunity, then get in touch and apply today.
