Social network you want to login/join with: The Project Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of technological and operational solutions to optimize warehouse efficiency for the most important customer in the Consumer and Healthcare sector. This role will work closely with IT and operations teams to design and develop advanced technologies, fostering a data-driven, high-performance work environment. The Project Engineer will be part of the engineering team focused on consumer, gross distribution, and healthcare sectors. It is a strategic role for assessing and implementing innovations, delivering tangible improvements aligned with industry advancements. They will serve as the main point of contact among various internal teams, gathering requirements and listening to colleagues’ needs to create effective solutions aligned with the company’s goals. Responsibilities of the role: Prioritize safety in all activities, ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations (Legislative Decree 81/08) and safety procedures to protect company assets; Identify innovation opportunities, analyze operational processes, and propose technological solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity; Define, design, and implement advanced automation systems (robotics, AGVs, automated storage systems, etc.); Collaborate with operational teams to optimize workflows and warehouse layouts using data and analytics; Coordinate the implementation of automation projects, overseeing all phases from planning to delivery and evaluation; Utilize data analytics and machine learning tools to monitor and optimize KPIs related to warehouse productivity and quality; Monitor operational flows, productivity, and KPIs within the warehouse; Support daily operations by analyzing data and processes to improve flows and follow-up on production; Assist colleagues in warehouse administration tasks, including invoicing, budgeting, and profit and loss analysis. Skills and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in STEM fields; Minimum of 3 years' experience managing continuous improvement and automation projects in logistics or related sectors, within multinational or Italian companies; Cross-functional operational experience (engineering, solution design, customer support, etc.); Strong skills in process analysis; Fluent in Italian and English; Excellent knowledge of Office Suite and Excel; Preferred: experience with Warehouse Management Systems or ERP systems; Excellent organizational, analytical, and managerial skills, with a team-oriented approach and strong communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders; Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze processes and develop innovative, sustainable solutions; Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences; Innovative mindset with curiosity about emerging technologies and a passion for experimentation; Proactive approach to identifying and implementing continuous improvements in warehouse processes; Excellent listening and communication skills to accurately interpret and respond to colleagues’ requirements; Proficiency in gathering and analyzing requirements to develop technical specifications for innovative projects.
