Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Nephrology in New York

A health system is seeking a nephrologist for locum tenens coverage. Upstate New York is filled with beautiful sights to see like Niagara Falls, Watkins Glenn State Park, and National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum! This inpatient nephrology role starts once credentialed (6090 days) and continues until a full-time hire is made. The schedule is Monday to Monday, with one day on-site and the rest on home/hotel call. The provider will handle 1215 consults per day, supported by 3 physicians, 3 NPs, and nursing staff. Credentialing takes up to 120 days but is being expedited. Requirements include board certification, immunization records, TB test, and flu vaccine or declination. EPIC is the EMR. The site handles 89 IR cases and 70100 diagnostic studies daily, including a wide range of interventional and angiographic procedures.
