Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Hoofddorp for a Logistics Specialist. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for managing supply chain operations, coordinating shipments, and ensuring the timely delivery of products. Daily tasks include handling export documentation, maintaining communication with clients and suppliers, analysing logistical processes, and providing excellent customer service. The role also involves optimising logistical workflows and solving operational issues to improve efficiency. Key responsibilities in detail : Procure, manage and process air/sea/road freight quotations for all global shipments. Liaise with logistics providers in different markets. Monitor the delivery dates of Sales orders and liaise with suppliers to prevent delays in deliveries. Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions. Quarterly Warehouse Inventory checks and 3PL management. Cultivate, maintain, and share expertise in logistical technology and concepts. Stay informed about new developments in Distribution & Logistics and translate these into new opportunities. Organise and prepare SGS /Intertek / Bureau Veritas Inspections Managing customs documents (customs clearance, transit goods) Monitor/check warehouse storage costs Placing purchase orders to the suppliers via SAP ERP Experience in SAP goods receipting is an advantage Managing Letter of Credit shipments Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for smooth operations Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field required, Logistics/Supply Chain Management Native Fluency in English and Dutch Strong knowledge of the SAP ERP Business One module Advanced skills in Excel and Word Good understanding of INCO Terms Good knowledge of Export Documents, Transit Documents, AWB / BL, DGD An eye for detail and strong commercial negotiation skills, as Freight is a profit centre in CEP-Holland Working across different time zones under pressure during critical shipping Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a presence and confidence that builds credibility and trust Ability to quickly adapt to changing business processes and business partners Time management skills, including consistent performance under deadlines A self-starter, able to work independently with limited supervision Knowledge of spare parts and Experience in the mining or marine industry is a plus What we offer: At CEP-Holland, we offer a wide range of products to our customers.
