Orchard Manager

Minimum requirements: Matric certificate Relevant tertiary qualification (agriculture or related field) 3 years experience in similar field Knowledge of irrigation systems Computer literate Fluent in Afrikaans and English Valid drivers licence Key Responsibilities: Plan, calibrate, and execute fertilisation programmes across orchard blocks Manage and maintain irrigation systems, pumps, and sprinkler pressure Oversee weed control, mulching, and orchard floor upkeep Prepare and manage harvests, including block and cultivar tracking Implement GlobalG.A.P.-compliant spray programmes and maintain sprayers Supervise orchard staff, drivers, and equipment operators Ensure health, safety, motivation, and performance management of workers Plan and execute seasonal pruning, ensuring equipment functionality Provide on-the-job training for new drivers, pruners, and irrigation staff Train staff on shaker use and specialist harvesting equipment Consultant: Almiché van Wyngaard - Dante Personnel Mpumalanga
