Collections Specialist About the Company Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Collections Specialist to join our team Over 30 years of experience in manufacturing Expertise in producing high-quality services Strong strategic partnerships with leading industry vendors Focus on quality control of components and performance Friendly environment where teamwork is key Responsibilities of the Collections Specialist Monitor and manage assigned customer accounts for timely payment Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to follow up on overdue invoices Negotiate payment plans and resolve disputes or discrepancies in billing Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities Collaborate with internal departments (sales, billing, customer service) to resolve account issues Process payments and update account statuses accordingly Prepare regular reports on collection status and account aging Follow company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to collections Preferred Qualifications of the Collections Specialist High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred Proven experience as a Collections Specialist, Accounts Receivable Clerk, or similar role Strong understanding of billing procedures and collection techniques Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills The Collections Specialist role is fully onsite in Mogadore, OH with a salary range of $40,000 - $45,000 depending on experience.
