Job Description
Responsibilities / Tasks Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct audits, and resolve discrepancies. Order Fulfillment: Experience picking, packing, and shipping to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Material Handling: Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, palletizers) for safe and efficient material storage. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain inventory records, track shipments, and generate reports on stock levels and operations. Safety & Compliance: Uphold safety standards and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations. Customer Service: Address material handling and order fulfillment concerns to maintain high customer satisfaction. Your Profile / Qualifications The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $20 - $22 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards. Education and Skills: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in warehouse operations or material handling are a plus. Prior warehouse experience with expertise in inventory management, warehouse equipment operation. Physical Stamina: Lift, carry, and move heavy items safely; stand and walk for extended periods. Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in inventory handling, picking, packing, and shipping. Problem-Solving: Identify and report discrepancies, defects, and inefficiencies in warehouse processes. Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean and orderly workspace with proper storage practices. Equipment Operation: Proficient in or able to learn forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse machinery. Safety & Compliance: Follow safety protocols when operating equipment and handling materials. Technical Proficiency: Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and software for inventory tracking and order processing. Data & Record-Keeping: Perform basic data entry and maintain accurate inventory records. Communication: Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors, following verbal and written instructions. Time Management: Meet deadlines and productivity goals while working efficiently under pressure. Flexibility: Adapt to various warehouse tasks as needed.
