Job Description Job Description Position Description Contacts and supports existing customers, grow and maintain relationships through pro-active interaction as well as identify potential new partners. Have the ability and skill set to effectively communicate with customers for the purpose of influencing buying decisions. Upsell customers utilizing existing product lines, consumables and parts. Achieve/exceed monthly sales targets and gross profit quota. Essential Job Functions Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services, industry trends, and competition. Prospect, identify, and qualify new contacts within geographic territory. Provide product prices, delivery specifications and payment terms by offering substitute products where appropriate. Assist Regional Sales Managers (RSM) and/or Director of Sales in processing priority transactions. Help set appointments for RSM team. Work to understand customers’ business and determine customers’ requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions and make value-added recommendations to increase sales. Communicate with outside sales team about market trends in their area. Follow up on all product inquiries. Professional and ethical representation is required at all times with customers. Communicate job problems and concerns with team members and supervisor. Complies with Company, Department and Quality policies and procedures as applicable. Maintains a positive attitude and promotes a “team” approach throughout the Department. Education, Experience & Skills 2-5 years of previous sales experience Previous experience working in a CRM or database to enter and maintain sales activities and client communication. Proven ability to prospect and qualify new business via the internet, trade publications and industry contacts, etc. Experience in Industrial equipment manufacturers industry or construction industry (helpful) A self-starter who can effectively work within a strong team culture Outstanding time management and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills via the phone and internet Demonstrated ability to be proactive and take the initiative to get things done Ability to manage multiple tasks at once (flexible and self-sufficient) Positive attitude, self-motivated, confident and tenacious Ability to present new ideas, overcome objections, create competitive offerings, and negotiate terms within all levels of the organization Company Description National has over 50 industrial-grade surface preparation and floor removal patents registered in the United States and around the world, giving us a global presence unmatched in our industry.
