Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employee Relations Manager for a multi-site retail business in East Riding of Yorkshire. As the Employee Relations Manager, you will lead a team of ER Advisors, providing expert guidance on complex cases and ensuring the delivery of a consistent, high-quality ER service. You'll play a key role in coaching and developing your team, fostering a positive employee relations climate, and supporting the organisation through change and growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional to shape and drive the employee relations strategy across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and develop a team of Employee Relations Advisors. Oversee the handling of complex casework including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, and appeals. Act as a senior point of contact for high-risk or sensitive ER issues. Ensure ER policies and procedures are aligned with employment legislation and best practice. Provide training and support to managers to build ER capability across the business. Monitor ER trends and data to proactively identify issues and support continuous improvement. Support organisational change initiatives including restructures, TUPE, and consultations. Skills & Experience: Proven leadership experience within employee relations or HR. Strong understanding of UK employment law and case management. Excellent people management, coaching, and communication skills. Ability to influence and partner effectively at all levels. CIPD qualified (Level 5 or higher preferred). Confident working on-site 4 days per week, with 1 flexible day.
