Workster is partnering with a leading global technology provider to recruit a Business Development Manager focused on the Retail, Hospitality, and Food & Beverage sectors. The company offers innovative, integrated solutions in payment processing, VAT refunds, currency conversion, and customer experience optimization across international markets. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth, PE-backed organization expanding rapidly across Europe, with a mission to simplify and enhance the way global commerce operates. About the Role This is a new business development role, focused on identifying, engaging, and closing deals with high-potential merchants — especially those with strong international footfall — in the Retail, Hospitality, and F&B segments. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Product, Legal, and Operations to deliver seamless and profitable customer solutions. Responsibilities Identifying, segmenting, and prioritizing new business opportunities in the target sectors Developing and executing an annual sales development plan with a clear pipeline strategy Achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual new business sales targets Delivering compelling commercial business cases to support client investment decisions Managing customer relationships from first contact through onboarding, before handover to Account Management Responding to partner and customer inquiries promptly and professionally Leading the creation and presentation of commercial proposals, tenders, and client pitches Maintaining accurate and up-to-date CRM records and activity reports Coordinating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and alignment with business goals Contributing to team strategy, collaboration, and process improvement across the wider sales group Qualifications We are looking for a self-driven, results-oriented sales professional with a deep understanding of the payment ecosystem and proven experience selling into the Retail, Hospitality, and F&B environments. Required Skills Proven B2B new business sales experience , ideally in merchant acquiring, payments, or hospitality/retail tech A strong network and understanding of the French Retail, Hospitality, or F&B sectors Experience selling to IT, finance, or operations stakeholders in complex, consultative environments Familiarity with card acquiring, DCC, VAT refund, EPOS, or e-commerce technologies Knowledge of card scheme pricing models, merchant agreements , and related regulations A track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced, evolving landscape Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Strong organizational and presentation skills, with high attention to detail Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) and MS Office tools Fluent French (native level) and professional English Experience working in international matrix environments is a plus A proactive, resilient, and flexible mindset with strong time and self-management skills Willingness to travel and engage in field-based sales activity The Offer Join a fast-scaling, innovation-driven company at the forefront of digital payments Work alongside top industry professionals and international stakeholders Competitive package with performance-based rewards Clear opportunities for career progression in a high-impact commercial role Flexibility to work in hybrid setup depending on location
