Chef on RAF Base Shifts work required. 12 Months Own Car required We are looking for Chefs already located commutable distance from RAF Waddington The shifts for this role would be as follows: Early shift: 0530 – 1430 Day Shift: 0800 – 1700 Late Shift: 1100 – 2000 5 working days in 7. Weekends as above. There is 1 hour of breaks during the working day. Function work will be rostered with the same working hours. As a Chef you are responsible for the competent delivery of food services. You will be responsible tfor Catering Flight and their deputies via Mess Management direction and rostering. • Operating varied shift working patterns between daily food services, daytime & evening functions and bar ser-vices alongside possible reception and accommodation management duties • Operate alongside service personnel & the industry partners to ensure catering services are provided to RAF Waddington. • Operate & comply with all relevant statutory legislation and local orders • Undertake accurate cash handling and profit protection procedures • Undertake stock taking procedure • Undertake basic IT input tasks • Undertake basic administrative tasks • Ensure you are dressed correctly and adhere to the highest standards of hygiene • Ensure the correct PPE is worn • Adhere to all safe systems of work including UK food safety/Health & safety legislation and ESS safety systems & risk assessments • Maintain the highest standards of customer service & hospitality • Remain fully current in all required job competencies / KPIs as directed in local orders • Maintain a high security awareness and reporting culture Essential: • Previous experience working as chef • Fine dining experience • Previous experience in bulk catering and daily food production • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Food safety level 2 training • City & Guilds 706/or 706/2 qualification / min NVQ in catering & hospitality. Desirable: • Experience of working in a military environment
