Job Description
Job Purpose: Perform activities related to Credit Control and Credit Administration and projects. The candidate will prepare/review credit documentation of different nature and ensure tracking and remediation of documentation. Maintain and perform quality checks of the credit limits and customer data. Will be responsible for physical and soft safekeeping of the clients’’ original documents. Candidate will also be involved in cross functional projects and activities. Key Accountabilities: Draft and review standard and non-standard documentation of facility offer letters, security related documents, internal and external legal opinions and other condition precedent documents etc. in line with sanctioned credit approvals Maintain credit facility files with all relevant documents received from coverage teams, scan facility documents prior to storing in the safe for safekeeping Ensure scanning of all customer mandates into the DMS and retention of original customer mandates in safe deposit box. Recording all transactions in the CBS. Working on process improvements and documenting changes in the SOP Checking the correct execution of all security/support documents, verifying signatures and supporting the authenticity of the signatories by the resolution/AP. Coordinate with the CAD-International team at head office, product specialists, hedging and credit teams as required to complete the documentation/release of limits in the bank's system. Ensure that the relevant authorities approve the deferral or waiver of any incomplete documentation Ensure rectification of existing discrepancies/deficiencies (if any) in documentation Prepare and distribute reports on documentation deficiencies (expired/delayed documents) and follow up on their timely submission/renewal Encoding of document filings and updating of collateral data in the Bank's system Verify and confirm periodically, at the time of renewal or revision of credit limits, that all required security or supporting documents are physically kept in a safe place and periodically clean up old obsolete security or supporting documents at the time of settlement Examine/verify authorizations requested for the permanent release of collateral, security documents and ensure that there are no outstanding debts or claims and that facilities are cancelled from the system Encoding and release of credit limits and guarantee of accurate detail before entry into the bank's system Receiving and recording all loans, lifelines, detailed files in the tracker Maintaining documentation related to administrative functions, such as incoming and outgoing mail statements, acknowledgements and other important correspondence Preparing instructions for account provisioning, customer category changes, suspension of interest changes and write-off entries Prepare instructions for transactions as required Carrying out monthly activities such as reviewing limits in the CBS, where applicable. Prepare and disseminate reports relating to cad activities (total volume of transactions processed by the department, guarantees, shortfalls) and any other related reports. Prepare and analyze the various reports requested by the head of unit/CAD/general management. Prepare accurate and timely internal and regulatory reports Ensure completion of mandatory training as requested by the bank from time to time Learn cross-functional activities and act as a backup during holidays and high-volume periods. Work on/support projects as requested by the manager Support line manager and other enablement function, timely assistance and solutions, on need basis. Resolve conflicts and provide effective solutions to the stakeholders. Efficient coordination with key stakeholders to get the job done in timely manner. Job Context : Promote and improve the control system and related procedural framework to incorporate internal, regulatory and procedural changes/evolutions. Maintain paper and electronic CAD files on shared folders. Participate in the Bank's operational transformation by contributing to the continuous improvement of functional systems, processes and practices, considering international standards and changes in the business environment that require proactive behavior. At the manager's request, coordinating with the audit department and responding to audit requests; identifying and monitoring remediation and action plans relating to internal control. Assists and supports the direct manager in ad hoc projects as required. At the manager's request, presenting risk management at internal and external events. Frameworks, Boundaries, & Decision-Making Authority: Functions within the framework and boundaries of Group policies as well as overall Organizational and Governance frameworks. Decision making authority as per FAB SOPs and procedures. Regulatory guidelines. Qualifications & Experience: Management degree preferably in banking or finance or equivalent experience. Knowledge, Experience and Skills: Minimum qualification Management degree preferably in banking or finance or equivalent experience Knowledge, experience and Skills Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a reputed bank or similar function At least 2 years’ technical experience in credit contracts or legal documentation Understanding of the assets and lending products and processes Innovative, strategic thinking and analytical skills. High integrity and business ethics. Solid experience and knowledge in credit administration function and legal documentation within a financial institution. In depth knowledge of Banking sector, clients’ sectors, industries and market trend. Very good knowledge of Banking sector and products – preferably private and investment banking. Good knowledge of Core Banking System and functionalities. Good knowledge of Legal Documentation, Credit Loan Contracts, Credit Control Sound Microsoft office applications knowledge Pro-active and business oriented with proven ability to prioritize, manage conflicting demands and ability to assess.
