Job Description
Pay Clerk – Army Military Pay Office Support Strategic Resources, Inc. (SRI) is an international, ISO 9001:2015 Certified, CMMI Maturity Level 3 Rated full-service provider with over 36 years of experience in the Federal, military, and commercial sectors. Overview SRI provides Army Military Pay Office support, including financial management services for the United States Army. Responsibilities include customer service, Soldier readiness, finance in and out-processing, and processing voucher documents. The pay clerk ensures accurate pay processing, verifies documentation, manages transactions, and follows up on rejections to ensure correct payment to service members. Duties and Responsibilities Answer inquiries regarding military or travel pay. Review and process financial documents for completeness and accuracy. Return incomplete or incorrect documents for correction. Provide Unit Transmittal Letters to the Non-Commissioned Officer. Handle in-processing and out-processing finance transactions for PCS. Provide timely and accurate military pay services. Ensure compliance with the Privacy Act and all applicable regulations. Qualifications, Education, and Skills High school diploma; some college preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, comprehension). Strong organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access). Excellent customer service skills and professionalism. US Citizenship required. Military background or familiarity preferred. Experience in quality control preferred. Must have SOFA status and either a current secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Tier 3 security investigation. Physical Requirements The role is primarily sedentary, involving exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. Office Demands Operate standard office equipment, including computers and phones. Effective communication in person and via phone. Work under time constraints, often meeting deadlines.
