Temp Project Engineer

Role Purpose: To plan, design, and implement material handling, transport, packaging, and logistics systems that ensure efficient material flow supporting production, localisation, P&A, and export projects. Temp Contract role for 2 years The role also involves managing logistics contracts and driving continuous cost reduction and process improvement. Key Responsibilities: Manage and implement logistics projects from start to finish Design and improve logistics processes, warehouse layouts, and material handling systems Develop and troubleshoot packaging specifications for local and export parts Create racking, storage, pallet, and stillage solutions Identify cost-saving opportunities through process analysis Define user specs for logistics IT systems Monitor and document project progress and logistics standards Set and track KPIs aligned with project goals Qualifications Required: National Diploma or Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Experience: 35 years in a logistics role within the automotive industry 2 years of project management experience Experience with CAD systems Essential Skills: Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Analytical, planning, and administrative abilities Strong written and verbal communication Ability to work independently, under pressure, and within teams Added Advantage: Experience with logistics IT systems
