Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Full-function payroll processing for various pay cycles Accurate data capturing, validations, and reconciliations Submit third-party payments and handle all statutory deductions Process bargaining council returns and ensure full compliance Liaise with internal teams and external parties on payroll matters Minimum Requirements: Matric (essential) 5 years’ experience in payroll administration Proven experience using Sage 300 People (non-negotiable) Excellent Excel skills – pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas – all second nature Attention to detail – accuracy is everything Able to work under pressure and manage strict deadlines Experience managing multiple payrolls of about 1 000 people : weekly, bi-weekly & monthly Clear credit record (essential) Solid knowledge of third-party payments (e.g. garnishees, UIF, provident funds) Experience handling bargaining council returns and submissions Bonus Points: Experience in the temporary employment industry Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams Confident handling payroll queries and reporting
