Tableau Developer - Report & Dashboard Design

Position : Tableau Developer (Data Viz Advanced SQL) Job Description : As a Tableau Developer at Stalwart Innovations, you will be crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide critical business insights. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to understand requirements, extract and transform data using advanced SQL, and build compelling visualizations in Tableau. Your expertise will enable our teams to make data-driven decisions swiftly and Responsibilities : - Dashboard Development : Design, develop, and maintain interactive and insightful dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud. - Data Visualization : Apply best practices in data visualization to create clear, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing dashboards that effectively communicate complex data stories. - Advanced SQL : Write complex, optimized SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various relational databases for reporting and analysis. - Data Preparation : Work with data engineers to ensure data quality, consistency, and availability for reporting needs. Perform data blending, joins, and calculations within Tableau and/or SQL. - Performance Optimization : Optimize Tableau dashboards and underlying data sources for performance and scalability. - Requirements Gathering : Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve data integrity issues, performance bottlenecks, and discrepancies in reports. - Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Tableau dashboards, data sources, and SQL queries. - User Training : Provide support and training to end-users on how to effectively use Tableau Skills & Qualifications : - Experience : 3 to 7 years of professional experience in data visualization and business intelligence. - Tableau Expertise : Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud, including dashboard design, calculations, parameters, sets, and actions. - Advanced SQL : Expert-level proficiency in writing complex, optimized SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. Experience with various SQL functions, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions. - Data Warehousing Concepts : Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT processes. - Data Connectivity : Experience connecting Tableau to various data sources (e.g., SQL databases, cloud data warehouses like Snowflake/BigQuery, flat files). - Data Analysis : Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights. - Problem-Solving : Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. - Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to present findings and interact with stakeholders. - Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.
