Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse Developer

Position : Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing Developer Job Description : As a Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing Developer, you will be a pivotal member of our data team, responsible for the end-to-end development of our data warehousing and BI solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using Informatica, build scalable data models in Snowflake, and create insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau. Your expertise will be crucial in transforming raw data into actionable intelligence, enabling data-driven decision-making across the Responsibilities Development (Informatica) : - Design, develop, implement, and optimize robust ETL/ELT processes using Informatica PowerCenter (or similar Informatica products like IICS) to extract data from various source systems, transform it, and load it into the data warehouse. - Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout the ETL Warehousing (Snowflake) : - Design, develop, and manage data warehousing solutions primarily on Snowflake, leveraging its unique architecture for high performance and scalability. - Implement efficient data loading strategies, including use of AWS S3 for data staging. - Optimize Snowflake warehouse sizing, query performance, and cost. Data Modeling : - Design and implement effective data models (dimensional, star/snowflake schemas, etc.) that support analytical and reporting requirements. - Ensure data models are scalable, flexible, and optimized for performance in Development (Power BI / Tableau) : - Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and reports using either Power BI or Tableau. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather detailed reporting requirements and translate them into intuitive and visually compelling dashboards. - Apply data visualization best practices to effectively communicate Expertise : - Write complex, highly optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and validation across various database systems, including Analysis & Problem Solving : - Perform data analysis to understand business requirements, identify data sources, and troubleshoot data discrepancies. - Proactively identify and resolve issues related to data quality, ETL processes, and dashboard : - Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and other development teams to ensure seamless data flow and effective insight : - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, data models, and BI : - Experience : 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing development. - ETL Tool : Strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter (or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services - IICS). - Cloud Data Warehouse : In-depth hands-on experience with Snowflake (data loading, performance tuning, query optimization, virtual warehouses). - Business Intelligence Tools : Proven experience with at least one leading BI tool: Power BI or Tableau (dashboard development, data source connectivity, calculations). - SQL : Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data manipulation, aggregation, and performance tuning. - Data Modeling : Solid experience in designing and implementing dimensional data models (star schema, snowflake schema). - Cloud Storage : Practical experience working with AWS S3 for data storage and integration with ETL/data warehousing processes. - Database Fundamentals : Good understanding of relational database concepts. - Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions. - Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical Qualifications (Good to Have) : - Familiarity with other cloud platforms (Azure or GCP) and their respective data services. - Exposure to other ETL tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data automation. - Experience with version control systems like Git. - Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices. - Certifications in Informatica, Snowflake, Power BI, or Tableau.
