Job Description
Position : Data Engineer (ETL / Snowflake / Description : As a Data Engineer at Stalwart Innovations, you will be instrumental in building and optimizing our data infrastructure and pipelines to support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing robust ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses (with a focus on Snowflake or Google BigQuery), and data lakes. Your expertise will ensure that high-quality, reliable, and accessible data is available for various business needs. Key Responsibilities : - Data Pipeline Development : Design, build, and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) from various sources into data warehouses, data lakes, or other data stores. - Cloud Data Warehousing : Develop and optimize data solutions primarily on Snowflake or Google BigQuery, leveraging their features for performance and scalability. - Data Modeling : Design and implement robust data models for data warehousing and analytics, ensuring data integrity, performance, and ease of use. - Data Integration : Integrate data from disparate systems, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, APIs, and third-party services. - Scripting & Automation : Write robust code and scripts (e.g., Python, SQL) to automate data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes. - Performance Optimization : Optimize data pipelines and database queries for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness within cloud data warehouse environments. - Monitoring & Alerting : Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting for data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and timely issue resolution. - Collaboration : Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. - Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, pipelines, and data Skills & Qualifications : - Experience : 8 to 9 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer. - Programming : Strong proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for data engineering (e.g., Python). - Expert-level proficiency in SQL for complex querying, data manipulation, and optimization. - Extensive experience designing, developing, and optimizing ETL/ELT processes. - Hands-on experience with either Snowflake or Google BigQuery (or similar columnar cloud data warehouses). - Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (e.g., dimensional modeling, Kimball, Inmon). - Proficiency with Git. - Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data integrity and accuracy. - Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly.
