Job Description
Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role within an FMCG environment. Relevant certificate or degree in Finance, Accounting, or Administration. Strong understanding of Accounting Principles. Proven experience in: Cashbook, creditors, debtors, and inventory. Processing journals and general accounting processes. Knowledge of Pastel Partner essential. Strong Excel skills (Intermediate level or above). Proficient in MS Office. Valid drivers license and reliable transport. Responsibilities: Prepare and compile all company financial information for the annual audit. Submit audit documentation, including: Copies of all relevant expenses and assets. Director remunerations. Amortisation schedules. VAT reconciliations, ensuring they balance with internal spreadsheets. Maintain accurate cashbook records. Process creditors invoices and perform weekly/monthly supplier payments. Manage debtors by following up on payments and maintaining age analysis reports. Process journals, including: Intercompany transactions. Salary provisions. Accruals and adjustments. Maintain and reconcile petty cash. Handle stock journals and inventory adjustments. Invoice commissions and manage rebates. Monitor bank accounts interest and ensure correct allocation. Payroll and Tax: Calculate and process monthly salaries (including Border and Karoo regions). Handle statutory submissions including: PAYE, UIF, SDL. Quarterly EMP501 reconciliations and submissions to SARS. Perform VAT submissions and reconciliations. Reporting: Prepare and present monthly Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss reports. Perform reconciliations to balance to supplier/bank statements. Configure and post sales figures in Pastel.
