CBRE - Tableau Developer - Analytics

The Analyst position for the CBRE Business Analytics group supports business intelligence projects focused on real estate data analyses for CBRE's global clients. Through data integration, visualization and examination, this position helps our clients optimize their operations across all service lines: facilities management, project management, finance, portfolio administration, cost forecasting, etc. An analyst works closely with our clients and technical database team to automate data collection from source operational systems, aggregate and standardize the information in a data warehouse, and develop Tableau dashboards that leverage the warehouse to generate meaningful client insights. The analyst will work with our Global Service Delivery team during the standup of initial solutions, as well as the Ongoing Support team post-delivery. The Ongoing Support team focuses on maintaining and enhancing our business intelligence projects. The ideal candidate possesses a broad skill set across five key categories: Tableau expertise, experience in data modelling and relational databases, project management and knowledge of the corporate real estate outsourcing industry is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : - 5Years of experience as a Tableau Developer. - Experience in Data Modelling and Relational Databases (ability to create integrated data models from disparate sources). - Create, maintain, and optimize interactive data visualizations and deploy Best-In-Class dashboards using Tableau. - Understanding of Parameter/ LOD/complex charts is must. - Proficiency in database technologies such as Microsoft Access or SQL Server is preferred. - Provide Quality assessments and ensure Data validations & Testing. - Present progress and results to onshore team and collects consistent feedback for revisions. - Excellent communication skillset (both verbal & written). - Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite Products, particularly Excel. - Knowledge on JIRA/Smartsheet/Confluence is preferred. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : - No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. - Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. COMMUNICATION SKILLS : - Advanced written and verbal communication skills. - Strong organizational and analytical skills. - Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. - Ability to effectively present information. DATA MANAGEMENT AND ANALYTICS : - Excellent data management, manipulation, and analysis skills. - Ability to create integrated data models from disparate sources. - Understanding of relational databases. - Intermediate to advanced Tableau skills are required. - Highly skilled in dashboard design and development. - Understanding of Parameter/ LOD/complex charts is mandatory. - Proficiency in database technologies such as Microsoft Access or SQL Server is preferred. FINANCIAL AND STATISTICAL KNOWLEDGE : - Requires basic knowledge of financial and statistical terms and principles. REASONING ABILITY : - Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex data sets. - Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. - Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills. OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES : - Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite Products, particularly Excel. - Comfortable working independently and collaboratively. - Hands on experience with project management tools like JIRA/Smartsheet/Confluence is preferred. - Experience in the corporate real estate outsourcing industry is preferred.
