Position Overview : An AI Engineer at Optimum Info will understand challenges faced by users of Optimums solutions and develop machine learning and deep learning models to address the challenges. The engineer will also develop the necessary interfaces to integrate the developed models with business applications. To achieve this the engineer will acquire a deep understanding of the business, the datasets, and the processes. The engineer will collaborate with other technical teams for deployment of developed solutions. Key Responsibilities : This list is indicative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. As software development and validation technologies continue to evolve, it is expected that the AI engineer will constantly research, identify and adopt the best tools and practices for ensuring high quality software product releases. - Understand given problem statements and analyze related data sets - Identify solution design options, build models and conduct POCs - Collect model performance data and compare with benchmarks - Present effective data visualizations and feasible options along with recommendations to senior management - Develop integration with business applications - Collaborate with business analysts, application developers, QA and configuration engineers for integration with Optimums products, validation and deployments - Define deployment architectures and estimate infrastructure needs for cloud deployments - Create technical documentation for work products delivered - Research new developments in the field and propose how Optimums products may leverage them to provide added value to users Desired qualifications and experience : A bachelors or masters degree in engineering with 3 years of experience including : - Expert level knowledge of Python, API development and consumption - Knowledge of algorithms and the mathematical basis, and techniques for evaluating model performance - Machine learning and deep learning libraries for Python - Data extraction and persistence using RDBMS and NoSQL databases - Cloud infrastructure and deployment for scale (including containerized deployment) - Agile/SCRUM environment - Configuration management tools like Git, TFS/Azure DevOps etc. - Good verbal and written English language skills - Demonstrable experience of having developed and evaluated models, through to business application integration and production deployment - Alternatively, holders of other graduate degrees with demonstrable equivalent experience will also be considered Certifications : - Machine learning and deep learning certifications from industry recognized institutions are desirable (ref:hirist.tech)
