Performance Test Engineer - LoadRunner/JMeter

Performance Test Manager Purpose of the Role : This role forms part of the Quality Engineering Team; working as part of the Technology Platforms. Your main responsibility will be to assess performance of complex IT systems, design tests for proving performance, reliability and resilience, debug performance or design issues and provide recommendations. is increasingly leveraging the cloud for applications and services which needs to be made secure via multiple toolsets and technologies. This will support in achieving its business objectives via mitigation of any incidents or risks through the adoption of industry standard methodology via policy, effective risk management, assurance and training. Role Focus : - Contributing to overall delivery of performance test services across for large complex IT solutions and enabling performance engineering in IT platforms - Responsible for delivering performance test strategies and implementing modern test methodologies in IT platforms - Ability to understand complex network topologies and various technology stacks such as Java, .net, react etc. - Engaging stakeholders to collate non-functional requirements and provide detailed test reports - Provide inputs to DevOps team for monitoring and alerting as per Non-functional requirements - Provide technical guidance on fixing performance issues It is imperative that you be a motivated self-starter who can manage your own time and commitments to the business. You should be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, ability to review large amounts of data; capability to juggle many priorities and security related topics whilst maintaining an excellent level of customer service skills. Duties & Responsibilities : - Building performance test scripts in Loadrunner, Jmeter - Analysis of management information and delivery of onward reporting - Automate general operational tasks where possible - Optimise performance of IT platforms using various methodologies - Monitor and analyse performance test results to identify bottlenecks and potential areas for improvement using application monitoring tools such as AppDynamics and Dynatrace - Liaise with various technical SMEs & Project Technical Architect/s to review the performance test results and recommendations to stakeholders where appropriate. - Manage test schedule and ensure critical path to delivery is maintained - Work on complex IT platforms involving various technologies (Java, Python, .net etc.), hosting (AWS, Azure, On-premises), and databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres etc.) - Ownership of test delivery, engaging platforms, business stakeholders, monitoring, and \ (ref:hirist.tech)
