SAP EWM Consultant - Implementation & Configuration

Role Overview : As an SAP EWM Consultant , you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP EWM solutions for clients, ensuring optimal warehouse management and logistics operations. You will work closely with business stakeholders to identify requirements and provide solutions that enhance warehouse efficiency, streamline processes, and ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules like SAP MM and SAP WM . Key Responsibilities : - Implement, configure, and support SAP EWM solutions across various warehouses and logistics functions. - Design and customize SAP EWM processes including Inbound , Outbound , Internal Warehouse Processes , Storage Control , and Transportation Management . - Collaborate with business users to define requirements, create functional specifications, and map business processes to SAP EWM Configure warehouse structure , storage types , storage bins , and pick strategies to optimize warehouse processes. - Implement RF (Radio Frequency) devices and applications for warehouse operations, ensuring seamless communication between SAP EWM and the warehouse management devices. - Perform integration between SAP EWM and other SAP modules like SAP MM , SAP SD , and SAP TM . - Support data migration activities from legacy systems to SAP EWM during the implementation phase. - Lead testing efforts for EWM scenarios including unit testing , integration testing , and user acceptance testing (UAT). - Provide end-user training and create training materials for SAP EWM processes and Offer post-implementation support to resolve issues, optimize system performance, and ensure system stability. - Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to EWM processes, including order processing, picking, packing, and shipping. - Assist with system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruptions to warehouse operations. - Work on SAP EWM reporting and dashboards to provide visibility into warehouse KPIs and performance metrics. - Ensure compliance with best practices , industry standards , and regulatory requirements in warehouse management. Required Qualifications and Skills : - 5 to 10 years of experience in SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) implementation, configuration, and support. - Strong knowledge of SAP EWM functionalities including Warehouse Structure , Stock Management , Picking and Packing , Shipping , and Internal Warehouse Processes . - Experience with RF device integration and Warehouse Management applications in SAP EWM. - Familiarity with SAP MM (Materials Management), SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), and SAP TM (Transportation Management) integration with SAP EWM . - Solid understanding of warehouse processes and logistics, including inventory management , order fulfillment , and supply chain management . - Hands-on experience in SAP EWM configuration for inbound and outbound processes, stock movement, and storage control. - Proficient in data migration techniques and tools for transferring data to SAP EWM. - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. - Good understanding of SAP Fiori or SAP UI5 for designing user-friendly warehouse interfaces. - Experience in conducting user training and creating training SAP EWM Certification is preferred. - Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both business users and technical teams. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience : - Experience with SAP S/4HANA and its integration with SAP EWM . - Familiarity with SAP EWM in the cloud or hybrid cloud environments. - Knowledge of automated warehouses , including integration with automated material handling systems (AMHS) . - Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or SAP Fiori for warehouse management functions. - Exposure to Agile methodologies and project delivery. - Strong understanding of integration technologies such as IDoc , BAPI , RFC , and Web Services in the context of SAP EWM.
