General Operative Location: Belfast | £13.05 per hour| Full-time Join the City & Neighbourhood Services team, helping to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces across the city. Key Responsibilities: Collect and dispose of household, commercial, and recyclable waste Clean streets, parks, and other public areas Carry out gardening and grounds maintenance tasks Remove graffiti, litter, and fly posters Assist with gritting, snow clearance, and seasonal duties Operate tools, machinery, and safety equipment Complete reports and record incidents or faults Engage with the public and promote recycling initiatives Essential Criteria: Minimum of 1 years relevant experience in: Dealing with members of the public Awareness of health and safety, PPE use, or safe machinery handling Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and prioritise tasks Basic written communication skills for form completion and reporting Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions Shortlisting Criteria: Applicants with 2 or more years of relevant experience may be prioritised.
