Associate Vice President

Our client is an independent boutique investment banking advisory firm based in Singapore, with a presence across Asia. They specialize in private financing, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and restructuring advisory services. Their work spans various industry sectors, including Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT), Consumer and Retail, Industrials, Real Estate and Hospitality, and Infrastructure. Role: Associate Vice President/Vice President Responsible for leading a team of Associates and Analysts in executing transactions. Client Relationship Management Maintain regular communication with clients. Ensure clear and timely updates on deal progress. Address any client-related issues in collaboration with senior leadership. Cultivate relationships with the investor community, including Private Equity Funds, Banks, and Sponsors. Develop new business relationships and strengthen existing ones. Support the senior team during deal execution. Manage operational aspects of deals from origination to closing. Understand client needs and recommend suitable services/products. Guide junior team members in drafting engagement letters and key documents. Oversee client transactions, reviewing analyses and presentations. Perform financial modeling and structuring. Analytical Deal Documentation Create financial models using Excel and other tools. Conduct financial analyses, including DCF, Proforma earnings, accretion/dilution, and sum-of-the-parts. Perform comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and trading multiples. Deal Generation Research and analyze companies and industries. Build knowledge and data for current and future transactions. Participate in industry forums, conferences, and seminars. Identify potential clients and leads. Provide deal leads to the senior team. General Responsibilities Lead and manage the team effectively. Assign tasks and oversee execution. Job Requirements Knowledge and Skills: Strong industry and financial analysis skills, including DCF, SOTP, valuation. Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data and communicate clearly. Good sector understanding and in-depth industry knowledge. Proficiency in financial modeling and complex analyses. Understanding of investment banking products. Ability to work independently and in teams. Manage multiple projects under pressure. Research skills using various databases like Capital IQ and Bloomberg. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Strong command of English and proficiency in Office tools.
