Information Technology Desktop Support

Job Title: IT Desktop Support Technician Location: Trappes, France Job Type: Full-Time || On-site Expected Hours: 40 hours per week Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced IT Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site technical support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and smart hands services. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience supporting IT infrastructure in a professional environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral hardware/software troubleshooting and support. Perform installations and break/fix services while ensuring compliance with customer security and warranty policies. Support end users with issues related to Windows OS, MAC/Linux OS (preferred), and desktop applications. Offer network support including smart hands activities for LAN/WAN infrastructure under instruction-based tasks. Provide support for basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP). Troubleshoot network cabling issues and peripheral/network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, racks, etc.). Deliver excellent customer service and maintain effective communication with users and stakeholders. Maintain timely and accurate ticket updates using tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy. Analyze recurring issues and implement preventive actions as part of problem management. Document all issues and solutions clearly and thoroughly. Qualifications: Minimum 2 to 3 years of IT desktop support or field support experience. Associate Degree in Electronics or related field (preferred). CompTIA A certification (preferred). OEM certifications (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, etc.) are a plus. Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy. Strong communication, time management, and customer relationship skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines. Ability to lift/move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Flexible to work varying schedules as needed.
