Porter- Catering Assistant

Job Description Join our team in Scarborough, United Kingdom, as a Porter/Catering Assistant for a part-time, term-time position. We're looking for an efficient and customer-focused individual to support our catering operations on Friday- Saturday, Sunday and Mondays. 10.30 - 19.00 rate of pay £12.21 per hour Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene Serve meals and refreshments to students, staff, and visitors Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, dining rooms, and equipment Transport food, supplies, and equipment between kitchen and service areas Operate basic kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness Assist with inventory management and stock rotation Provide excellent customer service to all patrons Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations Support catering events and special functions as needed Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, supportive attitude Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds Ability to work weekends and Mondays from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM during term time Strong time management and organizational skills Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff Previous experience in catering or food service preferred Food safety certification preferred Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment AMRT1_UKCT
