Low Voltage Technician

Job Description Job Description Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Low Voltage Cable Technician with expertise in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IP camera systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage cabling, networking, and security system integration, with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver exceptional results for our clients. Responsibilities: Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (e.g., Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, fiber optic) for IP camera systems, access control and related infrastructure Diagnose and resolve issues with camera connectivity, video quality, network integration, and power supply (PoE and traditional) Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems, structured cabling, and network infrastructure and cable certification Collaborate with project managers, IT teams, and clients to ensure seamless system integration and functionality. Adhere to industry standards, local codes, and safety regulations during all installations and service calls. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Low Voltage Cable Technician, with specific expertise in IP camera system installation and troubleshooting. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and team members Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform installations at heights.
