Ambient Support, a registered UK charity with over 25 years' experience in providing care and support services for older people, people with a mental health needs and people with learning disabilities. Our service in Coleford is an Extra Care service and offers luxury one- and two-bedroom apartments who wish to live an independent life but may need some extra care and support at times. The role of our Care Support Worker: * Providing social and emotional support, either at home and/or in their local community * Supporting residents with their personal care including personal hygiene needs if required. * Building/maintaining relationship with friends and family of our residents Skills and attributes of our Care Support Worker: Experience of supporting adults in a care setting or in the community. An awareness and understanding of high-quality home care. Good communication skills, patience, and flexibility. An understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support. A flexible working pattern and able to do shift work. Alternate weekend working pattern. Experience is desirable, however, is not essential, as we offer full training for all our Care Staff.
