Hygiene Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hygiene Manager to join a well-established and award-winning food manufacturer based in South Wales. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and food safety are consistently maintained across the site. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated hygiene team and work closely with both the Technical and Operations departments. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of hygiene operatives Carry out hygiene audits across all areas of the site Oversee deep cleaning of high-level areas, drains, and storage spaces Conduct environmental swabbing as required Ensure cleaning schedules are completed in line with the production plan Work collaboratively with Technical and Operations to maintain hygiene best practices Respond promptly to hygiene-related issues or concerns Maintain accurate records of hygiene audits, inspections, and training Essential Experience & Skills: Strong understanding of BRCGS Issue 9 standards and UK retailer codes of practice Hands-on experience with site hygiene audits Proven leadership in a hygiene-focused role within a food manufacturing environment A proactive, detail-oriented approach to hygiene and compliance You'll be joining a progressive business that values teamwork, quality, and innovation.
