Job Description
Barista Your role You'll be a part of our Catering team based in Melbourne and will work closely with the Front of House Team. Our friendly, supportive and collaborative team is part of the broader Business Operations Department, which covers Concierge, Records Management and Facilities Management. Our Corporate Catering team prepare a variety of innovative, on-trend food items to enhance the experience of our clients. Our team can accommodate a number of clients events, from a formal breakfast, lunch and dinner to canapés for cocktail events and corporate seminars. As a Barista in our Catering team you will: Prepare and serve high-quality coffee to clients and Allens staff in our new in-house café. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the coffee machine through regular cleaning and upkeep. Adjust daily coffee grind and manage all aspects of coffee service, including stocking of milks and other supplies. Deliver exceptional customer service to all clients, Allens employees and build relationships with staff. Support the team by assisting with dishwashing and general kitchen cleanliness. Ensure all dining areas, boardrooms, and internal kitchens are professionally presented and maintained, while keeping workspaces clean and orderly by restocking dishes and inspecting service items to ensure they are undamaged and ready for use. Assist with taking food orders in the café, and delivering coffee to boardrooms as required. Train new staff as needed. Assist the team by performing basic administrative tasks where required. This is a permanent opportunity. Working hours are from 7:45am to 3:45pm. About you You will have: Previous barista experience and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. The ability to work well under pressure and in a busy environment. Experience working as part of a team providing excellent service to a range of customers. A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others.
