Our Consultants are carefully selected and trained to comply with best practice industry standards. The clinical knowledge coupled with patient-centric care helps CLM work closely with patients to tailor a treatment most suitable and effective for them. This may include CPAP treatment, positional therapy, lifestyle changes or oral appliances. CLM is located across Northern Territory, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. About You : Minimum Certificate or Diploma in any field of study Certificate in Allied Health or working towards an AHA certification would be highly desirable Pursuing a tertiary education in an Allied Health Profession or other relative medical background such as Nursing or Pharmacist would be advantageous Position Summary : As an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) the role objective is to support and assist the multi-disciplinary consulting team to deliver responsive client-centred CPAP treatment pathways and services. Under the direction or supervision of an assigned Sleep Consultant the AHA will be required to deliver and implement individual CPAP therapy program in accordance to consultant directives. As the Allied Health Assistant, you will be responsible for providing first point of contact for PAP trials, initial communication with clients to commence engagement with the service and administrative support to multi-disciplinary consulting team for the practice. The role is available on a Part Time capacity with a view towards Full Time work to the right candidate. Key Requirements : 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role would be beneficial AHA students are highly encouraged to apply Experience working with patient and administering therapy would be desirable Computer skills and knowledge Microsoft Office Suite – Basic / Intermediate Knowledge and operation of standard office equipment such as photocopier or fax machine Current knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping Strong communication skills - both written and verbal Excellent planning and organising skill with good time management Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work load Problem assessment and problem solving Information gathering and information monitoring High attention to detail and accuracy Flexibility and adaptability Strong customer service orientated Teamwork focus and approach Job Responsibility : Provide administrative support to CLM sleep consultants providing assistive therapy services to individuals across a variety of sleep care services, to enable the delivery of quality patient care Respect confidentiality and privacy of practitioners, directors, staff and clients at all times Maintain a cooperative team environment by communicating openly and in a friendly manner, working efficiently and amicably with all members of the practice Screening of incoming calls, generic email and appropriate follow up Return referral query emails and phone calls to establish relevant information, to allow consultants to decide the services capacity to accept the client referral Provide point of contact support for new clients, where requested, explaining the services and products available as part of a CPAP therapy plan Working with consultants, ensure all the relevant and required forms are completed and stored in client files Analysing PAP therapy data/downloads to assist with therapy plans and ongoing support for patients Completing PAP Therapy letters, receiving feedback & distributing to the referring doctors' rooms. Administering the Education of Sleep Apnoea, Treatment (as per the management plan), Mask Fitting, Cleaning & Care of equipment to the patient Support consultants to ensure PAP therapy plans are completed, signed, updated and stored in client files or per standard procedures as directed by the clinical team Assisting in processing payments, driving product sales & improving brand awareness Job Functions : Sleep Apnoea Consultant Job Benefits : On the job training will be ongoing and industry specific training will be made available to the incumbent (if not already qualified), as well as personal development courses and training to improve and further develop the relevant skills required to be successful in this role.
