Internal Sales Executive

F/T Permanent Internal Sales Executive required for Builders Merchant based in Belfast. Job Purpose: As an Internal Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in the success of the branch by building strong customer relationships, providing expert product knowledge, processing sales efficiently, and supporting the external sales and counter teams. Youll be the first point of contact for many of our trade and retail customers, offering friendly, professional service that drives repeat business and revenue growth. Duties will include: Handle sales calls and customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person. Provide quotations, process orders, and follow up on sales leads. Develop relationships with existing trade customers and proactively seek new business opportunities. Offer advice and product recommendations based on customer needs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product ranges, promotions, and stock levels. Work closely with the external sales team and counter staff to meet branch sales targets. Log and manage sales activity using CRM systems or internal order systems. Resolve customer queries and complaints in a timely and professional manner. Support stock control, pricing strategies, and promotional activity within the branch. Skills & Experience Required: Previous experience in internal sales, customer service, or a similar role within a builders merchant or construction-related industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent telephone manner and customer service ethic. Good IT skills experience with CRM/order systems preferred. Commercial awareness and a proactive sales mindset. Knowledge of building materials and products is highly desirable. Personal Attributes: Enthusiastic, reliable, and a team player. Confident and positive attitude towards selling and customer interaction. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
