Job Description To apply for this position click here Teacher of Art - fixed term until 26/06/2026 Leith Academy Salary: £33,594 - £50,589 (pro-rata for part time) Hours: 22.35 per week An enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Art is required to join our thriving Team on a fixed term contract from 11 th August 2025 until the 26 th June 2026. You will be joining a positive department which is dedicated to ensuring success in learning for all. The Art department is part of the Creative Arts Faculty, who pride themselves in offering a wide range of extra curricular activities, including school shows and after school clubs. You will be expected to plan and deliver lessons for S1-6 as well as working collegiately with members of the department. Leith Academy has 1:1 iPads throughout the school to help improve learning both in school and at home. The successful applicant should be confident when incorporating digital learning in their classroom. Leith Academy is a diverse and comprehensive secondary school in Edinburgh, the school roll is currently around 1079 pupils. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
