Job Description To apply for this position click here Teacher of Art - fixed term until 26/06/2026 Leith Academy Salary: £33,594 - £50,589 (pro-rata for part time) Hours: 22.35 per week An enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Art is required to join our thriving Team on a fixed term contract from 11 th August 2025 until the 26 th June 2026. You will be joining a positive department which is dedicated to ensuring success in learning for all. The Art department is part of the Creative Arts Faculty, who pride themselves in offering a wide range of extra curricular activities, including school shows and after school clubs. You will be expected to plan and deliver lessons for S1-6 as well as working collegiately with members of the department. Leith Academy has 1:1 iPads throughout the school to help improve learning both in school and at home. The successful applicant should be confident when incorporating digital learning in their classroom. Leith Academy is a diverse and comprehensive secondary school in Edinburgh, the school roll is currently around 1079 pupils. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check.
